BUFORD, Ga. — After completing its non-region schedule unbeaten, Buford turns its attention to the region race Friday, Sept. 25, visiting Seckinger for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
Head coach Bryant Appling's Wolves enter following a 23-13 victory at Grayson, where Buford overcame a 10-point deficit to earn its 19th consecutive win. Ian Chafin's fourth-quarter touchdown on a fake field goal helped put the game away, while the defense held the Rams to three points after the opening quarter.
Buford has outscored its opponents 121-46 through four games. Seckinger, led by head coach Tony Lotti, is coming off a 42-31 loss to Madison County and looking for its first victory. Both teams begin region play at 0-0.
Friday gives the Wolves an opportunity to reach 5-0 and claim their first Region 8-7A win before an open week. Buford resumes play Oct. 9 at Dacula.
