Buford volleyball earned two straight-set victories to finish second in its Gwinnett County Tournament pool and will continue tournament play Saturday in the Gold Bracket at Discovery.

The Wolves defeated Collins Hill 25-10, 25-17 and Meadowcreek 25-13, 25-12, finishing pool play 2-1. Their only loss came against North Gwinnett in a three-set match decided by two points.

Buford took the opening set against North Gwinnett 25-22 before dropping the second by the same score. The Wolves pushed the deciding set beyond 15 points but fell 17-15, then responded by sweeping Meadowcreek. Across its two victories, Buford held opponents to 17 points or fewer in all four sets.

Olivia Hayden paced the Wolves with 20 kills, and Sophie Crawford added 12. Kami Oates contributed 28 assists, while Reagan Callender led the defense with 21 digs.

Buford opens Gold Bracket play against Brookwood at 10 a.m. Saturday on Court 3 at Discovery. A victory would send the Wolves into an 11 a.m. matchup with Lanier on Court 2. The championship is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Court 1.
