NORCROSS, Ga. — The Buford volleyball team collected two victories Tuesday, surviving a three-set challenge from host Greater Atlanta Christian before earning a straight-set win over Kell.
The Wolves began the evening with a 25-18 victory in the opening set against GAC. The Spartans responded by edging Buford 31-29 in a tightly contested second set, but the Wolves recovered to claim the deciding set 16-14.
Olivia Hayden powered Buford's attack with 12 kills. Logan Myers set a career high with five blocks, and Reagan Callender led the defensive effort with 20 digs.
Buford closed the night with a 25-21, 25-15 victory over Kell.
Hayden added 11 kills in the second match, giving her 23 for the evening. Kami Oates delivered a well-rounded performance with 13 digs and 11 assists as the Wolves completed the two-match sweep.
