BUFORD, Ga. — A new season begins Tuesday evening for Buford Volleyball.

The Wolves will travel to Hebron Christian Academy in Dacula on August 4 for a season-opening tri-match featuring three accomplished programs. Buford will face North Cobb at 6 p.m. before closing the evening against host Hebron Christian at 7 p.m.

Opening night will immediately challenge the Wolves to settle into their rotations, communicate effectively and maintain their energy through consecutive matches. With little time between opponents, Buford will need to make quick adjustments while remaining composed in the season's first competitive action.

The early-season event will also give the Wolves their first opportunity to establish an identity for the 2026 campaign. Serving pressure, first-contact execution and consistency at the net will be important as the team begins translating its preseason work into match situations.

Facing two opponents in one evening provides a valuable opening test. Each match will present different challenges, requiring Buford to remain disciplined and respond to changing lineups, momentum and styles of play.

Beyond the immediate results, Tuesday's matches will provide the coaching staff with an early evaluation of the team's chemistry, communication and execution. Those lessons will be important as the Wolves move into a demanding August schedule filled with multi-team events and strong competition.

The trip to Dacula marks the beginning of a busy opening stretch for Buford. The Wolves are scheduled to return to action August 11 at Greater Atlanta Christian, where they will face GAC and Kell.

For now, the focus is on opening night and the first opportunity for the 2026 Wolves to compete together.
