GAME WEEK: Buford Hosts Central Gwinnett for Senior Night and Regular-Season Finale

The Wolves bring a 9–0 record and three consecutive shutouts into Friday’s 7:30 p.m. matchup at Phillip Beard Stadium.

BUFORD, Ga. — An unbeaten regular season is within reach for Buford, and the Wolves will have the opportunity to finish it at home. Central Gwinnett visits Phillip Beard Stadium on Friday, Nov. 6, for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff as Buford celebrates Senior Night and closes its regular-season schedule.

The Wolves enter at 9–0 overall and 5–0 in Region 8-AAAAAAA after defeating Discovery 67–0 last Friday. The victory extended Buford's shutout streak to three games, following wins over Collins Hill and Mill Creek.

Across that stretch, Buford has scored 150 unanswered points. The defense has held four of five region opponents scoreless, with Dacula's seven points remaining the only scoring allowed by the Wolves in league play.

Buford's production on both sides of the ball has created a commanding margin against region competition. The Wolves have outscored those five opponents 256–7, averaging 51.2 points while allowing just 1.4 per game. Through nine games overall, Buford has scored 377 points and surrendered 53, good for averages of 41.9 scored and 5.9 allowed.

Central Gwinnett arrives at 3–6 overall and 2–3 in the region. The Black Knights defeated Seckinger 34–20 in their most recent game on Oct. 23 and have won two of their last three, with a 36–13 victory over Discovery also part of that stretch.

Friday brings together the final week of the regular season and an opportunity to recognize Buford's seniors. For the Wolves, the next step is to carry their recent consistency into one more region matchup, finish unbeaten and build on the momentum they have established heading toward the postseason.
