Kehren’s Seven RBI Power Buford to 17–3 Senior Night Win

The Wolves collect 15 hits, including three apiece from Ansley Kehren and Olivia Nagel, in Tuesday’s victory over Collins Hill.

BUFORD, Ga. — Buford celebrated Senior Night with a 17–3 win over Collins Hill on Tuesday, October 6, scoring nine runs in its first trip to the plate and getting seven RBI from Ansley Kehren.

Kehren finished a double short of the cycle, going 3-for-3 with a single, triple and home run. Olivia Nagel matched her three-hit performance and drove in four runs. Together, they accounted for 11 of the Wolves' 14 credited RBI.

Buford's first inning gave Kehren two opportunities to deliver. Her RBI single helped get the offense started, and she later cleared the bases with a triple. Nagel added a two-run double during the nine-run inning.

Collins Hill answered with Kyndall Jones' three-run homer in the second, but Buford quickly widened the gap. The Wolves produced six hits and six runs in the bottom half, with Kehren's three-run home run to center field providing the biggest swing.

Nagel added an RBI single in the third, and Reese Oskarson's sacrifice fly brought home Buford's final run.

The production extended through the lineup. Lydia Hamrick went 2-for-2 with a double, while Valeria Ortiz and Janie Goldin each contributed two hits. Grayson Payne doubled in her only at-bat. Nagel and Goldin scored three runs apiece, and Goldin stole two of Buford's five bases.

Kennedy Townsend earned the win, allowing five hits and three runs without a walk over three innings. Carsyn Hunter and Norah Cook also pitched, with neither allowing a hit or a run.

Buford finished with four doubles, a triple and a home run among its 15 hits. The Wolves drew five walks and played error-free defense to complete the Senior Night victory.
