BUFORD, Ga. — After an open week, Buford returns to the field Friday, Oct. 9, visiting Dacula for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff in Region 8-7A play. The Wolves enter 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the region following a 58-0 victory at Seckinger on Sept. 25.
Head coach Bryant Appling's team opened its region schedule with its highest scoring performance of the season and first shutout. The victory extended Buford's winning streak to 20 games.
Through five games, the Wolves have outscored their opponents 179-46, averaging 35.8 points while allowing 9.2 per game. Buford will look to carry that balance into the second half of its regular-season schedule.
Dacula, led by head coach Craig Edwards, enters 3-2 overall and 1-0 in region play after defeating Discovery 42-14 last Friday. The Falcons have won two consecutive games, following a 28-21 victory over Northgate with their region-opening win. Dacula has scored 166 points and allowed 134 through five contests.
Friday's matchup gives Buford an opportunity to reach 6-0 and earn its second region victory. The Wolves return to Phillip Beard Stadium next week to host Collins Hill on Oct. 16.
