GAME WEEK: Buford Welcomes Collins Hill for Homecoming

The unbeaten Wolves host Collins Hill on Friday at Phillip Beard Stadium, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.

BUFORD, Ga. — Buford returns to Phillip Beard Stadium for homecoming Friday, Oct. 16, carrying a 6-0 record into its matchup with Collins Hill. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m., with both teams unbeaten in Region 8-7A play.

The Wolves earned their second region victory last Friday at Dacula, winning 48-7 behind a first half that left little in doubt. Buford scored 17 points in the opening quarter and added 25 in the second to take a 42-7 lead into halftime. Dacula did not score again.

That performance followed a 58-0 victory at Seckinger in Buford's region opener. Across those two road games, the Wolves have scored 106 points while allowing seven, extending their winning streak to 21 games.

Now Bryant Appling's team brings that form back to Buford. Through six games, the Wolves have scored 227 points and surrendered 53, averaging 37.8 points per contest while holding opponents to 8.8.

Collins Hill arrives at 2-4 overall and 2-0 in the region after winning its last two games. The Eagles defeated Central Gwinnett 39-15 before earning a 42-13 victory at Seckinger in their most recent outing. Their 81 points across those wins give Buford another productive offense to contend with as the region schedule continues.

Friday pairs the homecoming celebration with an opportunity for the Wolves to reach 7-0 and claim sole possession of the better region record between the two teams.
